A stammer, and 6,000 hours of showing up for other people

Sohini Rohra is a counselling psychologist, author, and mental health advocate. She holds a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling Psychology.

She is the author of Cancelled to Crowned, an Amazon bestseller, and her second book, The Hope Habit, explores the psychology of hope and its role in helping people navigate uncertainty, adversity, and emotional change.

As a counselling psychologist, Sohini's areas of expertise include anxiety, self-worth, emotional regulation, and psychological resilience. Her work focuses on making mental health conversations more accessible, nuanced, and relevant to everyday life.

She is also the host of Cancelled to Crowned with Sohini, a mental health and conversations podcast that explores personal stories, emotional struggles, resilience, and transformation.

Sohini has been featured across leading Indian media publications and has contributed numerous articles to prominent national platforms on mental health, psychology, relationships, self-worth, and emotional well-being.

Through her writing, psychology work, and public conversations, Sohini brings together psychology and lived experience to examine one of the most fundamental human capacities: the ability to find and sustain hope, even in difficult times.

The energy that burns through pain holds the power to heal. This transition from victim to victor is just a turn along the same path.

What therapy with Sohini is actually like

Four things
01 Understand, don't fight Anxiety isn't an enemy to be defeated. Once you understand what it is trying to protect you from, it stops running the show.
02 Confidentiality first Therapy depends on you feeling genuinely safe. That safety is the first thing we build, and the thing I protect most carefully.
03 Collaborative, not prescriptive There is no script. At times that means trial and error — but it is always something we do together, never something done to you.
04 Self-awareness as the goal Not just feeling better right now, but learning to notice your own patterns early enough to catch a spiral before it starts.

If any of that sounds like something you are living through, the first step is a conversation — not a commitment.

Sessions are in Mumbai and online. No referral needed.
